Errington School Visit
Our last school visit for the school year was at Errington Elementary School. We visited dozens of bright students ranging from Kindergarten to Gr. 3!
After a reading of our book, and learning how the main character overcomes his own fear, we had a discussion on how fear can affect us. We also explored some tools to manage and overcome fears.
We also shared a little bit about how our publishing company differs from large publishing houses and how this affects the dynamic between the author and illustrator. We gave students an insiders looks into how our book came to be and the challenges and excitement of creating a storybook from scratch.
Special thank you to Errington's librarian, Scott, for inviting us after visiting our booth at last year's Richmond World Festival!
"Students loved the interactive story time and really enjoyed discussing overcoming their fears. They were engaged the entire presentation" - Scott Jackson, Errington Elementary Librarian
